What Went Well: Overall, I had a very easy time using Google Sites to create my website. I also really liked that it was drawn out process. The fact that we worked on it for a long time helped me retain knowledge of how to use the tool. I really enjoyed designing the website, but of course I enjoy anything that allows me to be creative.
What did not go well: The only thing that I had a problem with was creating sub-pages to go under my resources page. I had to have some help with this. Other than that, everything went fairly smoothly.
How to use in my classroom: I could have my future students create their own websites, but I really think that I will use the website that I have created for my students and parents to use.

Diabetes Awareness
What went well: The editing process went well. It took me a little while to figure out how to time the captions but after that it was easy and fun. Now that I know how to use imovie and find pictures of the right resolution, I think that this will be a very useful and fun tool to use.
What did not go well: Quite a few things did not go well. I struggled to find photos that were the right resolution and were copyright free. The photos that I had collected and brought on the first lab day were too low of a resolution, so I had to start over. On Thursday, I was finally able to figure out how to get high resolution photos off of Flickr. Once I found the correct photos, using the imovie tool was fairly easy. It did take me a little while to figure out how to properly time the comments. I had to watch my movie several times and edit it several times to get it how I wanted it.
How to use in my classroom: I think that this would be a great tool for students Middle Grades or higher (consequently, this is the grade level I will be teaching). In order to help the students use the tool, because of copyright issues, photo resolution issues ect. I will provide explicit instructions as well as a list of websites where they can find photos and music that is copyright free. I will also give instructions on how to use creative commons photos from Flickr.

Active-Inspire
What went well: Once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed creating my flip chart. I think this is a great tool .
What didn't go well: From the time that Ginny showed how to use the different features to when I actually did the project, I had forgotten quite a few things and had to ask again.
How I would use this in my classroom: I think that this is great technology for the classroom. Assuming that my future classroom will have a Promethean board, I would use it everyday for interactive learning.

Inspiration
What went well: This was a pretty fun thing to do. Actually making the diagram was fairly easy. I didn't really have any problems.
What did not go well: I saved my work to drop box and could not open it on my computer at home. So, I had to start over. I was not happy about this.
How I will use it in my classroom: I will use it much the same way I have used it for this project, to create visual diagrams to aid in my students learning.
Next time I will figure out a way to save my work so that I don't have to start over from scratch each time.

Social Studies Scavenger Hunt
What went well: Creating the slide show in google docs worked well and then I also had an easy time embedding the codes in my blog. Editing the pictures was also easy.
What did not go well: Initially, in order to share the pictures with all the group members we tried to share a Picasa album, but this did not work. After some frustration we asked Ginny to assist us and she suggested that we use a jump drive to transport the pictures from computer to computer.
How I would use this in my classroom: This is actually one of my favorite activities. I think that a scavenger hunt is a great idea because I'm sure that students are itching to get out of the classroom. It also utilizes collaboration work which is important. I would use it to create a class project.

Wiki- Web 2.0- Glogster
In class we have just completed our Web 2.0 page in our Wiki. I felt a little bit more comfortable creating this Wiki page than the previous one. It went pretty smoothly for the most part.
I still had a few issues that were kind of frustrating. For instance, when I was typing out the steps to use the website the font size kept randomly changing on me and I wasn't sure why. Also, I posted a link to the artifact I posted and I couldn't get the link to go underneath the screen shot so I ended up having to put it next to it.
I would definitely use Glogster in my classroom. Personally I thought it was really fun to create my own glog. I think it will be a good tool for my students to create interactive projects. The only down side is that you have to pay for it.

Yuckiest Screen Shot
The web evaluation activity did do a good job in teaching how to evaluate a website. This is actually one of the few tech related things that I do have some prior knowledge of so I knew some of this before, such as judging credibility of a website. But, for someone more inexperienced in this particular skill this would be a great tool.

Courtnay's First Blog!
Hi! My name is Courtnay and welcome to my tech blog. This blog is a requirement for my TPTE 446 class and I am pleased to be enrolled in the course. I desire to gain much knowledge of tech stuff as I think it will be a very useful tool for my future classroom. I currently know very little about tech stuff and definitely need some help. Even the little we have learned so far has been useful.
